Job summary

Manipal Hospitals in Bengaluru is seeking a highly experienced Cath Lab nurse to support diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will prepare patients, monitor vital signs, manage medications and documentation, and assist in emergencies within a busy Cath Lab environment.

The ideal candidate has 14 years of relevant experience in Cath Lab, Cardiology, ICU, CCU, or Emergency Care, with direct Cath Lab exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. Nursing or GNM from a recognized institution.
• Valid KNC registration mandatory.
• BLS certification preferred; ACLS certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist the cardiologist and Cath Lab team during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including pre-procedure assessment, consent verification, and checklist completion.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythm, and overall condition during procedures.
• Assist with preparation and maintenance of sterile equipment and Cath Lab supplies.
• Administer medications, contrast media, and emergency drugs as per physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation, procedure records, and medication charts.
• Monitor patients during post-procedure recovery and identify early signs of complications.
• Assist in managing emergencies such as arrhythmias, cardiac arrest, bleeding, and contrast reactions.
• Ensure infection-control, radiation-safety, and patient-safety protocols are followed.
• Coordinate with cardiologists, technicians, anaesthesia teams, and other departments for smooth patient flow.
• Ensure proper inventory and availability of critical Cath Lab consumables and emergency equipment.
