Qualifications

• B.Sc. Nursing or GNM from a recognized institution.
• Valid nursing registration with the appropriate nursing council.
• Experience in Cath Lab, OT, ICU, or critical care is preferred.
• Experience as a Cath Lab Scrub Nurse will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Cath Lab, instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies before procedures.
• Perform surgical scrubbing and maintain strict aseptic and sterile techniques.
• Assist the cardiologist and Cath Lab team during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Prepare and handle sterile instruments, catheters, guidewires, balloons, stents, and other required devices.
• Ensure all required equipment and consumables are available before starting the procedure.
• Maintain accurate counts of instruments, needles, and other sterile items.
• Monitor and maintain infection-control and safety standards at all times.
• Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and maintenance of sterile draping.
• Coordinate with the circulating nurse and other Cath Lab team members for smooth workflow.
• Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and disposal of instruments and biomedical waste.
• Assist during emergency situations, including cardiac arrest and other procedure-related complications.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and records related to procedures and consumables.
• Check and maintain the readiness of emergency equipment and supplies.
• Follow hospital policies, nursing protocols, infection-control standards, and patient-safety practices.

Job Summary
