Job summary

Novumgen in Vadodara seeks a Nurse for the Clinical Affairs department. Fresher candidates with BSc./MSc Nursing or Midwifery Certificate are welcome to apply.

As part of the study team, you will assist with screening, admission, dosing, monitoring and discharge, maintain vital signs, collect samples, perform venipuncture, observe participants, document events, and ensure accurate records in line with GCP and SOPs.

Qualifications

• BSc. Nursing / MSc. Nursing / Midwifery Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Principal Investigator/Sub-Investigator and study team during participant screening, admission, dosing, monitoring, and discharge activities, as applicable.
• Record and monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation as required by the protocol.
• Assist with collection of blood and other biological samples after appropriate training and authorization.
• Perform venipuncture/phlebotomy and other nursing procedures within the scope of qualification and competence.
• Assist with ECG, physical measurements, and other study-related procedures after appropriate training.
• Observe participants for signs, symptoms, discomfort, or other changes in health status and promptly inform the Principal Investigator/Sub-Investigator.
• Assist in identification and documentation of adverse events and promptly inform the Principal Investigator/Sub-Investigator.
• Follow protocol-specific requirements for timing and performance of assigned procedures.
• Ensure appropriate availability and readiness of nursing equipment and supplies.
• Check equipment condition before use and report malfunction or damage to the responsible person.
• Maintain accurate, contemporaneous, and complete records of nursing and study-related activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect participant personal and medical information
• Follow emergency procedures and immediately seek assistance in case of participant distress or medical emergency.
• Follow applicable SOPs, work instructions, protocol requirements, and safety procedures.
• Complete GCP, protocol, SOP, safety, and other required training before performing assigned study activities.
• Perform only those activities for which appropriate training, competency, and authorization have been established.
• Support internal audits, sponsor monitoring, and regulatory inspections by providing records related to assigned responsibilities, as required.
• Report any protocol deviation, documentation error, equipment issue, or other quality concern to the responsible person without undue delay.
