Job description

We are looking for an experienced NPD Manager to drive innovation and product development in the food and nutrition segment. The role involves managing the end-to-end New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle, from concept development and formulation to commercialization and product launch, with a focus on nutrition, taste, quality, food safety, and market demand.

The candidate will lead the development of products such as protein bars, protein powders, nutritional spreads, breakfast cereals, and other innovative food and nutrition products, ensuring regulatory compliance and commercial viability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and launch innovative food and nutrition products, including protein bars, protein powders, nutritional spreads, breakfast cereals, and other functional food products.
• Manage the complete NPD lifecycle, from ideation and formulation to trials, scale-up, commercialization, and market launch.
• Ensure products meet nutritional requirements, taste expectations, quality standards, and consumer preferences.
• Ensure compliance with applicable FSSAI regulations, food safety standards, and product labelling requirements.
• Identify and evaluate new ingredients, functional ingredients, suppliers, and packaging materials.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, consumer trials, and sensory evaluations to improve product formulations.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, quality assurance, procurement, and marketing teams to ensure successful product launches.
• Optimize product formulations and manufacturing costs while maintaining product quality and nutritional value.
• Oversee product trials, shelf-life studies, stability testing, and manufacturing scale-up.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, product performance, and commercialization milestones.
• Keep up to date with emerging trends in kids’ nutrition, functional foods, protein-based products, and health-focused FMCG categories.
