Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Bengaluru seeks a backend engineer to design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js (TypeScript). You will build and deploy serverless applications on AWS, integrating with Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB and related services.

You will optimize performance and cost, implement security for APIs, write tests, and collaborate with frontend, DevOps and product teams to deliver robust solutions while troubleshooting production issues.

• Design, develop and maintain backend RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js (TypeScript).
• Build and deploy serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB and related services.
• Build and integrate with services like Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, RDS.
• Integrate APIs with third-party services and internal microservices.
• CI/CD pipelines using Git & tools like Code Pipeline or GitHub Actions.
• Optimize application performance, cost, and scalability in serverless architecture.
• Implement the best security practices for APIs, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
• Write unit and integration tests to maintain code quality.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver robust solutions.
