Job summary

TranslateZ is seeking a backend-focused engineer to design and implement fast, reliable systems using NestJS, TypeScript, and Prisma. You will build scalable APIs, optimize performance, and own projects from conception to delivery. The role favors strong coders with a solid body of work and comfort working across technologies.

Ideal candidates have experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and AWS services, and thrive in a dynamic environment where ownership and initiative are valued.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience recommended, but not required.
• Self starter (at least 50% of time). We would expect the person to take ownership and initiatives.
• Good algorithm knowledge and OOPS understanding.
• Proficient in database ORMs preferably MongoDB and Postgresql.
• Have worked with NestJS, TypeScript & Prisma before.
• You've built web APIs and are familiar with backend and database technologies.
• Understanding of design principles behind building scalable applications.
• Familiarity with some AWS technologies (or equivalent) such as EC2, S3, Lambda and DynamoDB
• Comfortable with and curious about working outside of a traditional narrow engineering role.
