Epam Systems in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced Backend Developer to design and maintain server-side applications using Node.js and NestJS, and to build scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs for frontend services and third-party integrations.

You will implement secure authentication with JWT and RBAC, integrate external services, and contribute to logging, monitoring, and performance optimization while mentoring junior developers.

Role & responsibilities

Backend Development

• Develop and maintain server-side applications using Node.js and NestJS.
• Write reusable, testable, scalable, and efficient backend code.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs for frontend services and third-party integrations.
• Build secure authentication and authorization systems using JWT and role-based access control.
• Integrate external services, APIs, and cloud-based solutions.
• Implement logging, monitoring, caching, and error-handling mechanisms.
• Optimize API performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks to ensure high availability and responsiveness.

Database Management

• Design and maintain database schemas and data models.
• Work extensively with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Clouds DevOps

• Develop and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS.

Quality Assurances Testing

• Write comprehensive unit tests using Jest and React Testing Library.
