Job summary

SYSTRA India invites experienced professionals for senior roles in the Delhi Metro rail project. The candidate will oversee installation, testing, and integration of traction power systems, ensuring adherence to metro safety norms and client specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in metro/rail sector or heavy electrical installations.
• Strong knowledge of safety norms and electrical safety rules.
• Experience coordinating with multiple teams and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation, alignment, and testing of Third Rail components and insulators.
• Ensure work follows RDSO/Metro standards and approved method statements.
• Monitor erection of 25kV/33kV cables, OHE/TSS interface, switchgear, and traction power distribution.
• Coordinate energization activities with TSS/RSS and SCADA teams.
• Witness TC of Third Rail systems including insulation and continuity tests.
• Support trial runs and integration with train operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety norms and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, PPE checks, barricading, and signage.

Missions/Main Duties

• Supervise installation, alignment, and testing of Third Rail, cover boards, expansion joints, and support insulators
• Ensure work as per RDSO/Metro standards, drawings, and approved method statements
• Monitor erection of 25kV/33kV cables, OHE/TSS interface, switchgear, LT panels, and traction power distribution at Depot/Station
• Coordinate with TSS/RSS and SCADA teams for energization activities
• Witness T&C of Third Rail system including insulation testing, continuity, clearance checks
• Support in trial runs and integration with train operations
• Ensure compliance with Metro safety norms, electrical safety rules, and lock-out tag-out procedures
• Conduct site inspections and ensure proper PPE, barricading, and signage
• Liaise with Client, PMC, traction contractor and other agencies
• Maintain daily progress reports, material reconciliation, test reports, as-built drawings, and measurement books
• Prepare RA bills and technical correspondence
• Guide technicians and supervisors. Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions
