Key Responsibilities

1. Network Maintenance:
   • Monitor network performance and availability.
   • Perform routine maintenance and updates for network hardware and software.
   • Ensure optimal network configurations and performance tuning.
2. Troubleshooting:
   • Identify, diagnose, and resolve network-related issues (e.g., connectivity, latency).
   • Support end-users with network access and connectivity problems.
3. Installation and Configuration:
   • Assist with the installation and setup of routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
   • Configure network devices to meet business and security requirements.
4. Security and Compliance:
   • Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls and VPNs.
   • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
5. Documentation:
   • Maintain accurate records of network configurations, topologies, and troubleshooting procedures.
   • Update technical documentation and user guides.
6. Collaboration:
   • Work with vendors and service providers for hardware/software procurement and support.
   • Coordinate with IT teams to resolve cross-functional technical issues.
7. Upgrades and Improvements:
   • Recommend and implement upgrades to hardware, software, and network systems.
   • Research and stay updated on new networking technologies and trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• Associate degree with relevant certifications is acceptable.
• Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):
• CompTIA Network+
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Skills
