Job summary

Owasp10 in Mumbai is seeking a Firewall Engineer to manage the firewall lifecycle, including design, configuration, code upgrades, and rule management. You will work with Check Point and Cisco ASA, ensuring secure data-center network and application flows.

Responsibilities include optimizing WAN routing, data-center connectivity, and load balancers, coordinating change management, and troubleshooting security issues. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; passport required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• CCNA/CCNP or firewall certification preferred.
• Hands-on experience with firewall design and management (Check Point, Cisco ASA).

Responsibilities

• Good understanding of data-center network and compute architecture.
• Solid understanding of industry-standard network firewall design principles.
• Manage and resolve networking issues at time of problem detection.
• Tier IV firewall support (captures, app flows, syslog) on Check Point and Cisco ASA.
• Design security for application architecture and flows.
• Coordinate plan and execute Change Management procedures.
• Troubleshoot customer network and security issues.
• Research industry best practices and make recommendations.
• WAN routing, data center connectivity and LAN switching.
• Security compliance for applications.
• Understanding load balancers (NetScaler) and monitoring tools like Splunk.

• Good understanding on WAN routing, Data center connectivity and LAN switching.
