Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Chennai is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer for Network Routing & Switching. The role requires 5 to 10 years of experience with hands-on expertise in routing and switching, load balancers, and security.

Candidates should be proficient with DHCP, DNS, AD, multi-VRF architectures, and have familiarity with F5, NX-OS, Cisco ACI, and firewall tools like Checkpoint/Fortigate. Strong leadership and ability to work with large enterprise networks are key.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of experience in Networking (Routing and Switching, Load Balancer) plus Security (Checkpoint and Fortigate).
• Sound knowledge of DHCP, DNS, and AD.
• Familiarity with complex Network Infrastructures containing multi-VRF architecture.
• Team handling skills as a Technical lead.
• Strong knowledge on Routing and Switching.
• F5 LoadBalancer (basic knowledge) for end-to-end route checks.
• Routing: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP; Switching: NX-OS, Cisco ACI, F5.
• Experience in Juniper/CheckPoint/Cisco TAC or Network Operations Center (L3/L4).
• Basic knowledge on Firewall administration and orchestration tools such as Tufin.
• Experience in supporting large enterprise network infrastructures with more than 5000 devices.
• Hands-on experience on Proxies (McAfee and/or Bluecoat) [optional].
• Well versed with Security skills (firewall coding and troubleshooting).

Role : Network Routing & Switching

Experience : 5 to 10 years

Must have skills:

• Must understand and “design” an architecture
• High level knowledge of the firewalls is mandator
• Estimate workload and timelines of implementation.
• Initiate implementation process: ticket creation, Coding and follow-up with delivery teams.
