Qube Cinema is seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to join their IT Infrastructure team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will possess 5–6 years of experience in designing and managing enterprise networks, ensuring performance and security. Key responsibilities include network design, performance monitoring, and security implementation.

This is a 24/7 support role with rotational shifts, and requires hands-on skills in networking fundamentals and enterprise solutions.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years of experience in Network Engineering or Infrastructure Operations.
• Relevant certifications are preferred such as CCNA / CCNP.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in designing, implementing, managing, and securing enterprise network environments. This role is critical in ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, and security of our network infrastructure supporting global business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage LAN, WAN, WLAN, and Data Centre network environments.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and related network components.
• Monitor network performance and proactively resolve issues to minimize downtime.
• Implement and support network security solutions, including VPNs, firewalls, and IDS/IPS technologies.
• Manage IP addressing, subnetting, network segmentation, and routing policies.
• Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for network incidents.
• Drive network optimization, capacity planning, and scalability initiatives.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, and DevOps teams on integration projects.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and industry best practices.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of Networking Fundamentals (OSI, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with Routing Protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP.
• Hands‑on expertise in Switching Technologies including VLANs, STP, and Trunking.
• Experience managing enterprise Firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.).
• Knowledge of WAN technologies, including MPLS and SD‑WAN.
• Hands‑on experience with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN).
• Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
• Understanding of Cloud Networking concepts across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python or PowerShell) is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Relevant certifications preferred: CCNA / CCNP, Firewall Certifications, Cloud Certifications, CompTIA Network+ (optional).

Preferred Experience

• 5–6 years of experience in Network Engineering or Infrastructure Operations.
• Experience managing enterprise‑scale network environments.
• Exposure to 24x7 production support operations is highly preferred.
