Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Hyderabad is seeking a Network Engineer to join our on-site team. You will handle day-to-day network incidents, support 24x7 operations, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams to maintain network infrastructure.

Candidates should have CCNA/CCNP, strong Cisco Routing and Switching skills, WAN/LAN experience, and tools like NNMi, Wireshark, and load balancers. ITIL is a bonus.

Qualifications

• CCNA or CCNP certification is required.
• Strong Cisco Routing & Switching expertise for LAN/WAN.
• Troubleshooting Cisco environments including Nexus/6500/4500 etc.
• Knowledge of Wireless technologies.
• Experience with DNS/DHCP and monitoring tools (NNMi).
• Good communication and coordination with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide network support on-site, 24x7 shift.
• Handle day-to-day network incidents and issues.
• Monitor network and coordinate with tools team for device changes.
• Support day-to-day changes and configurations in network infra.
• Maintain on-site spares availability for network infrastructure.
• Coordinate with Network Delivery for ongoing projects and support.
• Keep the Network CMDB up to date.
• Process patching requests and update TRAX.
• Coordinate with Telecoms, service providers & OEMs during faults.
• Ensure all related process documents are up to date.

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have

• Candidate should be CCNA/CCNP certified
• Excellent in Cisco Routing and Switching environment LAN & WAN
• Troubleshooting skills for Cisco Environment in quick time (Nexus 5500/6500/4500 series,Cisco Enterprise routers 3900, 3800 & LAN switches 3700, 3500, 2900 series) and CAT OS
• Knowledge of Wireless technology autonomous and lightweight.
• Good Knowledge of tools, DNS/DHCP/HPOV NNMi
• Knowledge of network sniffer for capturing logs (Wireshark/ Ethereal/ Solar-wind or any other equivalent)
• Experienced in coordination with Telecoms/Service provider/Vendor coordination
• Knowledge of cabling and various modules (Ethernet and Fiber) /Load balancer/F5/Cisco ACE preferable.
• Excellent Communication skill
