Seeking a skilled, dedicated and proactive Network Engineer with strong interpersonal and technical skills to operate a large-scale LAN/WAN network and cloud infrastructure deployed globally.
Responsibilities
Support and maintain hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices. Platforms include routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, etc. Diagnose problems and solve issues, often under time constraints. Assist in the development of guidelines and procedures for administration and security best practices; provide network documentation; monitor network usage, anticipate problems and suggest solutions; work in an agile environment.
Required Skills
- Core Data center hands‑on experience
- 8+ years of expertise in implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, wireless access points and controllers.
- Deep knowledge of the SDN space, specifically within WAN, Branch, Data Center and Orchestration; proven experience in wireless technologies and security practices.
- Knowledgeable in application transport and network infrastructure protocols (SSL/TLS, DNS, DHCP, WINS, NTP, FTP, HTTP, SMTP, CIFS, LDAP, and Microsoft AD), and possess an understanding of how to support these applications/protocols when accessed through VPN and firewall appliances.
- Good knowledge of AWS and Google Cloud networking.
- Good knowledge of Python/Ansible scripting.
- Must have design, implementation and operational experience with enterprise routers and switches (Cisco router and Cisco Nexus preferred).
- Hands‑on technical experience working with VPN technologies (IPSEC, DMVPN, SSL VPN, WebVPN, AnyConnect, etc.).
- Experience in BGP, OSPF, and MPLS (traffic engineering implementation) and wireless technologies.
- Extensive experience in load balancers and operational experience across multiple vendors; mandatory - Citrix NetScaler and F5 LTM.
- Experience in network tools such as CA Spectrum, Cisco Works, SNMP and Netflow.
- Understanding and implementation of network traffic analysis, remote access methods and systems, stateful inspection firewalls, encryption, authentication and authorization technology.
- Able to handle multiple, complex, short‑term projects and incidents simultaneously.
- Comfortable documenting and explaining network topologies and diagrams, planning for future upgrades.
- Strong oral, written, communications and presentation skills.
