Job summary

LPL Financial Global Capability Center in Hyderabad is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead and support core network infrastructure across offices and data centers, focusing on Cisco routing and switching and F5 LTM.

You will design, implement, and optimize LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and load balancing solutions, monitor performance with SolarWinds and other tools, and collaborate with teams to deliver scalable, secure networks for advisors and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• Hands-on Cisco routing and switching expertise.
• Proven F5 LTM configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with SD-WAN and wireless network design.
• Familiar with network monitoring/diagnostic tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to lead network initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage core network infrastructure across office and data center environments.
• Configure Cisco routers, switches, WLCs, and Nexus platforms.
• Build and manage F5 LTM VIPs and iRule; health monitoring.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and identify root causes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support needs.
• Conduct packet captures and deep-dive analysis with tools like ExtraHop/LiveWire.
• Monitor network performance using SolarWinds, DNA Center, ThousandEyes.
• Participate in capacity planning and incident response.
• Document network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

Job Overview

LPL is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead and support the core network infrastructure across office locations and data centers. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and load balancing solutions, with a strong emphasis on Cisco technologies and F5 load balancers.

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, exceptional troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with network monitoring and performance optimization tools. This position is critical to delivering scalable, resilient, and secure networking solutions that support LPL, our advisors, and their clients.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, and manage core network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, and WiFi across office and data center environments
• Configure and maintain Cisco routers, switches, Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), and Nexus platforms.
• Build and manage F5 LTM VIPs, iRule, perform health monitoring, and troubleshoot application delivery issues.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, identifying root causes, and developing continuous improvement fo the environment
• Effectively collaborate with various Teams within the organization as well as external vendors and partners to support business needs and ensure network scalability and reliability.
• Conduct packet captures and deep-dive analysis using tools like ExtraHop and LiveWire.
• Monitor network performance and availability using SolarWinds, Cisco DNA Center, and Thousand Eyes.
• Participate in capacity planning, network optimization, and incident response.
• Document network diagram, configurations, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering.

• Proven expertise in F5 LTM configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with SD-WAN solutions and wireless network design.

• Ability to work independently and lead network initiatives.
