Job summary

Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas, Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, reliable network infrastructure across our global operations.

You will configure routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, monitor performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure high availability while enforcing security best practices across cloud and on-premises environments. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of enterprise Network Engineer experience.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and services.
• Proficiency with Cisco equipment is essential.
• Experience with VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
• CCNA/CCNP/JNCIP certifications desirable.
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

• Design, configure, and deploy network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

What you’ll bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Network Engineer in an enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, etc.) and network services (DNS, DHCP).
• Proficiency with Cisco networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls) is essential.
• Experience with network security best practices and technologies (e.g., VPNs, firewalls, IDS/IPS).
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIP) are highly desirable.
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
