Job summary

Hitachi Rail GTS India Private Limited is seeking a Network and IT Architect to design and implement robust network and IT architectures. You will mentor junior engineers, lead technical initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders across IT and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

You will work with Linux-based infrastructure, virtual environments, and network devices, ensuring high availability and optimal performance across the organization.

• You graduated with a Master of Engineering, Computer Science or any related field in University, and you have proven experience in Network management
• You demonstrate strong leadership and are willing to mentor and grow junior team members
• You sound convincing and persuasive

Competencies

• You are familiar with IT infrastructures Linux Systems (Debian, RedHat) and virtual environments (VMWare, KVM)
• You master the following protocols: TCP/IP networks, routing protocols, QoS and security architectures (WAN and LAN), Cisco validation designs, F5 and Juniper SRX family
• You can demonstrate strong knowledge in Cloud computing, networking and system assurance
• You have knowledge of Cisco and Juniper Network Equipment, VMware, Windows Server Infrastructure
• You are able to produce well-structured and written documentation and communicate to technical and non-technical audiences

LIFE AS A Hitachi Rail NETWORK AND IT ARCHITECTURE ROLE

As a Network and IT Architecture Role within Hitachi Rail, you will:

• Develop test plans on network architectures and systems
• Carry out activities, engage with other stakeholders to manage and implement an IT programme
• Work with requirement owners and system design engineers to create serial data interfaces for new features
• Perform router administration, network analysis and monitoring
• Roadmap network system and advise process improvements
• Collaborate with the network engineers, network administrators and other professionals in network setup and configuration
• Examine and evaluate the network performance and make changes wherever required
• Understand architectural methods and frameworks and their application to network, server architecture and design
• Integrate IP networks based on networking architectures, routers, firewalls, servers and gateways
• Manage the network security systems including firewalls and network access control systems
• Troubleshoot network architecture and making recommendations for system findings and enhancements
