Job summary

Shreeji Comsec Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a Network Engineer to support ELV projects including CCTV/IP surveillance, access control, video intercom, PA, and BMS. The role covers design, configuration, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of IP-based networks at project sites.

Responsibilities include configuring switches/routers, VLANs, IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, and ensuring reliable connectivity for ELV subsystems. Travel to site for installation and commissioning will be required.

Qualifications

• Must have Diploma or Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Networking, or related field.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and DHCP/DNS.
• Experience with CCTV/ELV systems is a plus.

Job Description: Network Engineer ELV Projects

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, configuration, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of network infrastructure for ELV (Extra Low Voltage) projects.

The candidate will be responsible for network infrastructure supporting systems such as CCTV/IP surveillance, Access Control, Video Intercom, Public Address, BMS, Wi-Fi, structured cabling, and other IP-based ELV systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement network infrastructure for ELV systems and projects.


• Configure and troubleshoot managed/unmanaged switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and network devices.


• Configure VLANs, IP addressing, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, routing, and network segmentation.


• Support IP-based systems including CCTV, access control, intercom, BMS, PA systems, and other ELV solutions.


• Coordinate with ELV, IT, electrical, MEP, and project teams for network integration.


• Review network architecture, topology drawings, equipment schedules, and technical specifications.


• Prepare network topology diagrams, IP address schedules, VLAN plans, and configuration documents.


• Perform network installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting at project sites.


• Configure PoE switches and ensure adequate power and bandwidth for IP devices.


• Troubleshoot network connectivity, packet loss, latency, IP conflicts, and device communication issues.


• Conduct testing and commissioning of ELV network infrastructure.


• Coordinate with OEMs, system integrators, consultants, and client IT teams for system integration.


• Assist in server/network rack installation, patch-panel termination, labelling, and structured cabling testing.


• Maintain project documentation including as-built drawings, test reports, configuration backups, and handover documents.


• Monitor network performance and resolve site-level network issues.


• Ensure installations comply with approved drawings, project specifications, standards, and safety requirements.


• Provide technical support during project handover and warranty periods.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, Ethernet, IPv4, subnetting, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and routing.


• Experience with managed switches and PoE switches.


• Knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking.


• Basic knowledge of STP/RSTP, LACP, SNMP, NTP, and multicast/IGMP.


• Experience with IP-based CCTV and other ELV systems.


• Understanding of fibre optic and copper structured cabling.


• Ability to troubleshoot using tools such as ping, tracert/traceroute, ipconfig/ifconfig, Wireshark, and cable testers.


• Knowledge of network rack layout, patch panels, fibre termination, and network labelling.


• Familiarity with network documentation and topology tools such as AutoCAD, Visio, or equivalent.


• Basic understanding of network security, firewall rules, port requirements, and access control.

Preferred Certifications

• CCNA or equivalent networking certification.


• CompTIA Network+ or equivalent.


• Vendor-specific certifications such as Cisco, HPE/Aruba, Fortinet, or equivalent are an advantage.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Networking, or a related field.
