Goodfit is seeking a Network Engineer to shape the backbone of our critical infrastructure. This onsite role delivers high-availability across LAN/WAN and data center environments, focusing on reliability, security, and performance for global services.

You will design, implement, and operate enterprise-grade networks, troubleshoot complex incidents, and collaborate with security and systems teams to deliver integrated solutions from Chennai.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on network engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and multicast routing knowledge.
• Experience configuring enterprise-grade hardware (Cisco/Juniper/Arista).
• Firewall skills including rule creation and VPN tunnels.
• Knowledge of VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP and network monitoring tools.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Shape the backbone of our critical infrastructure as a Network Engineer. This onsite role offers a direct impact on system reliability and performance, managing complex network environments that support our global operations. You will contribute to high-availability solutions, ensuring seamless connectivity and security for our core services.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade network solutions across LAN, WAN, and data center environments.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents (L2/L3), ensuring minimal downtime and root cause identification.

• Monitor network performance, capacity, and security, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.

• Configure and manage network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide timely support for critical network events.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, diagrams, and operational runbooks.

• Collaborate with security, systems, and application teams to deliver integrated infrastructure solutions.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network engineering within an enterprise environment.

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and multicast routing protocols.

• Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise-grade network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Arista).

• Experience with firewall technologies (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet) including rule creation and VPN tunnels.

• Solid knowledge of switching technologies: VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP, port security.

• Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
