Job summary

Golden Opportunities in Chennai, India seeks a Senior Network Engineer with 10-12 years of experience to design, deploy, and support enterprise network infrastructure. The role covers routing, switching, cloud networking (AWS/Azure), firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, and security. On-call rotation and EST hours are part of the job.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with major vendors and strong troubleshooting skills, plus a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Hybrid work arrangements may apply.

Qualifications

• 10-12 years of enterprise network infrastructure experience.
• Expertise in routing & switching, AWS & Azure cloud networking, firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, network security, hybrid cloud, and network automation (Terraform, Ansible, Python).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong expertise in BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, VRFs, QoS, IPv4/IPv6.
• Hands-on with Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Juniper, Arista, or equivalent platforms.
• Experience managing Fortinet or Palo Alto firewalls.
• DNS, DHCP, NTP, TACACS+, RADIUS, and network authentication services.
• Wireless networking: Wi-Fi 6/6E/7, WPA3, 802.1X, RF design, wireless security.
• AWS networking services and hybrid-cloud connectivity.
• Azure networking technologies and cloud network security controls.
• Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder management; on-call rotation.
• Team-oriented with EST shift availability (5:30 pm–2:30 am).

Candidate Specification& Job Responsibilities:

• 10-12 years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
• Strong experience in Enterprise Networking, Routing & Switching, AWS & Azure Cloud Networking, Firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN, Network Security, Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure, Network Automation (Terraform, Ansible, Python), and Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Strong expertise in routing and switching technologies including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, VRFs, QoS, IPv4, and IPv6.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Juniper, Arista, or equivalent enterprise networking platforms.
• Experience managing Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent next-generation firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, NTP, TACACS+, RADIUS, and network authentication services.
• Deep understanding of enterprise wireless networking technologies including Wi-Fi 6/6E/7, WPA3, 802.1X, RF design, and wireless security.
• Hands-on experience supporting AWS networking services and hybrid-cloud connectivity.
• Experience supporting Azure networking technologies and cloud network security controls.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Collaboration: A team-first attitude with the ability to participate in an on-call rotation for critical infrastructure emergencies.
• Flexible to work in EST (5.30 pm to 2.30 am)
