Summary of This Role

Install, configure, maintain, support, and secure the organization’s network communications, including LANs and/or WANs. Identify network problems, isolate root causes, and initiate corrective action. Determine priority of action and additional resources required, based on severity of service interruption. Provide technical analysis to customers to isolate issues and develop strategies to restore or activate services. Interact with Telecommunication Engineers, LAN Administrators, and transmission and RF staff regarding ongoing network activities. Assembles compliance with security, safety, and environmental guidelines. Generate reports on network performance, troubleshooting results, and routine maintenance of network elements. This role requires individuals to work within the demands of a global 24/7 high‑availability transaction‑oriented network. Ability to translate business requirements into network requirements and collaboratively work with other technical teams to deliver an overall solution.

What Part Will You Play?

• Assist with intermediate‑level network problem‑solving solutions within the Global Payments Network.
• Administer established network projects and issue‑resolution tasks.
• Participate in the execution of intermediate design plans/scripts with attention to detail.
• Provide timely updates to project managers and customers on the status of implementations and requests as needed.
• Generate intermediate‑level reports on network performance, troubleshooting results, and routine maintenance of network elements.

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience (minimum 2 years of enterprise networking experience or a Bachelor’s degree).
• Preferred Qualifications: Appropriate advanced industry network certifications.

What Are Our Desired Skills and Capabilities?

• Dynamic Routing: Configure industry‑standard dynamic routing protocols including but not limited to BGP and OSPF.
• WAN Optimization and QoS: Optimize WAN and implement QoS on global MPLS network carrying voice and data.
• Load Balancing: Manage global DNS load balancing and local application load balancing.
• Work on assignments that are routine to moderately difficult, requiring some decision‑making in resolving issues or making recommendations.
