Job summary

JioStar India Private Limited is seeking a Narrative Storytelling Lead to guide AI-assisted writing for multiple serialized projects. The role combines seasoned screenwriting with GenAI governance, developing prompts, guardrails, and writing policies to steer AI-driven storytelling.

You will collaborate with creative and production teams to oversee writer supervision, ensuring quality across Hindi and English content, while maintaining traditional storytelling foundations and exploratory formats.

Qualifications

• At least six years as a screenwriter and three years of experience in TV and/or serialized short form writing supervision
• Idiomatically fluent in English and Hindi
• Experience with structure, scene, and dialog punch-up of other writers’ work
• Proficiency in GenAI and traditional screenwriting tools
• Understanding of content production principles and workflows
• Ability to handle multiple productions simultaneously
• Excellent attention to detail and creativity
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and openness to feedback

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and direction of creative teams for GenAI serialized short form content.
• Help content production teams understand concept development, plotting, character development, screenplay structure, dramatic dialog writing (in Hindi and English), and the narrative elements of short form serialized content.
• AI innovation: Work with technical teams to help bring more AI capabilities into the creative writing workflow by helping develop policies, guardrails, creation prompts, validation prompts, and agentic architectures that become force multipliers for the entire story team.
• Familiarity with filmmaking or animation: Understand traditional foundations, principles and procedures of producing filmed entertainment, especially serialized short form content.
• Oversee AI-generated content quality: Conduct human review and provide creative direction feedback to artists to drive them to create a compelling narrative for the audience.
• Collaboration: Work closely with marketers, designers, and subject-matter experts to align AI-assisted content with broader marketing goals and campaigns.
• Learning Agility: Proven ability to rapidly learn new technologies, platforms, and complex processes.

Job description

A Narrative Storytelling Lead is an AI-native version of a Head Writer / Showrunner role and requires both experience working with GenAI and 10+ years professional narrative (television, film, microdramas) writing experience, with at least 3 years experience running writers’ rooms, giving notes, and supervising other writers. This role is responsible for crafting the writing policies, the guardrails, the LLM-as-judge prompts, and the agentic role prompts (ideator, plotter, characterizer, scenecrafter, dialog writer, etc.) to steer AI driven story generation. Leverage AI to develop new stories, new genres, new experiences - and expand the capabilities of every artist on the team to create more and better than ever. This role is also responsible for creatively supervising overall storytelling for multiple simultaneous series of innovative content developed leveraging an state-of-the-art AI-driven platform.
