Senior Director - Product Management Job Summary:

As Senior Director - Product for JAMS (JioStar AI Media Studio), you will own the product vision, roadmap, and execution for JioStar's generative video platform - the platform that lets us produce production-grade AI-generated video content at scale, across Microdramas, content promos, marketing creatives, and AI avatars. You will define what gets built, for whom, and in what sequence, partnering with Engineering, Microdrama Teams, Marketing, Content Teams & leadership to take use cases from pilots to scaled production-ready content, and build this in a platformised way that enables us to unlock multiple use‑cases at a time.

About the team:

JAMS is JioHotstar's AI-native media production platform built to enable content creators to tell stories that were not possible to be told before, at a fraction of the cost it might have taken earlier. We leverage frontier generative models, integrated into our homegrown platform that enables the entire script - video journey for creators. The eventual goal is to support multiple use‑cases, be it microdrama content generation, content promos, marketing creatives or avatar-led experiences, both interactive and pre‑generated. You will be part of the JioHotstar Product Organisation and work directly with key stakeholders across Microdramas, GenAI Studio, Marketing, Sports, and Entertainment content teams to prioritize and scale what works. We are an AI native, agile & fast‑moving team focused on turning bold ideas into impactful products. From rapid prototyping of new concepts to building scalable platforms that power future growth, we thrive on experimentation and innovation. As part of this team, you’ll work at the intersection of creativity and technology – building end‑to‑end experiences, experimenting with emerging tech, and shaping the future of entertainment content.

Key responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end product strategy for the JAMS generative video platform. Define what use cases are important to build (Microdrama, promos, avatars, and everything else), in what sequence, and why, grounded in business impact and platform readiness & what capabilities does the platform need to build to enable these use cases.
• Translate ambiguous, frontier‑tech capability (generative video, voice synthesis, character/knowledge grounding, real‑time generation) into a sequenced product roadmap with clear pilot‑to‑scale gates per use case.
• Drive cross‑functional alignment with Microdramas, GenAI Studios, Marketing, Sports, and Entertainment content leadership on use‑case prioritisation, and go‑to‑market sequencing.
• Define and own the platform success framework (Scale, Quality, Speed, Cost) and the use‑case‑specific business metrics) – building the measurement rigor to prove or kill use cases honestly.
• Partner with Engineering on platform architecture trade‑offs and what's product‑buildable vs. infrastructure‑dependent across use cases.
• Build a product team capable of operating at the pace of frontier generative AI – hire, mentor, and create the operating rhythm (goal‑setting, roadmap tracking, execution cadence) across multiple concurrent use cases, building a high performance culture.
• Meet, evaluate partners and build frameworks to evaluate how to partner / integrate them to unblock new capabilities / accelerate product roadmap for JAMS.

Skills and attributes for success:

• Track record building 0-to-1 AI-native products. Bonus: If this spans generative media (video, voice, images).
• Strong technical & AI fluency and being able to engage credibly with Engineering & Data Science Teams on generative model architecture, cost/latency trade‑offs, and platform constraints.
• Experience managing a multi‑use‑case product portfolio – sequencing and trading off investment across use cases at different maturity stages, rather than running a single roadmap.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and align senior stakeholders on product roadmap and investment decisions.
• Sharp product instinct & experience in building 0-to-1 platform products, experience defining and rigorously tracking product metrics across disparate use cases.
• Track record building and leading lean product teams that deliver high outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to produce sharp strategy artifacts for both team‑level execution and CXO‑level review.
