Job summary

Alstom Transportation in Bengaluru is seeking a full-time NT Network Designer to develop BTN specifications (Preliminary and Detailed Design) and support deployment activities across the project lifecycle. You’ll work with installation, cybersecurity, and power teams, ensuring integration with the System Delivery Plan and seamless rollout of the network infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in engineering, hands-on IP-MPLS/LAN-WAN design, and CCNP/CCIE-level certifications.

Qualifications

• BE/Masters degree in Engineering with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience with IP-MPLS solutions; Nokia/Alcatel-Lucent IP-MPLS portfolio preferred.
• Proven experience in LAN/WAN design and GbEthernet deployment.
• Knowledge of RFC protocols, IP routing, QoS and cybersecurity (802.1x, Radius, Firewall).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and traffic analysis.
• Certifications such as CCNP or CCIE (or equivalent).
• Experience with fiber deployments and troubleshooting is desirable.
• Knowledge of major telco suppliers like Cisco, Nokia, Juniper, Huawei.

You'll play a key role in designing and delivering NT Backbone Transmission Network BTN specifications that align with the System Delivery Plan, ensuring seamless deployment and integration. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with teams across the business (installation teams, cybersecurity teams, power experts), contribute to technical reviews, support deployment activities such as installation, testing, and commissioning, and much more.

You'll specifically take care of BTN design specifications (Preliminary and Detailed Design), but also contribute to addressing plans and technical room surveys.
