Job summary

Zensar Technologies seeks a skilled database administrator to manage MySQL databases across production and non-production environments. You will handle GCP Cloud SQL provisioning, scaling, replication, backups, and high availability, while migrating on-premise databases to cloud services.

You will develop IaC with Terraform, optimize performance, and support analytics workloads with BigQuery, collaborating with DevOps and platform teams to deliver reliable database services.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in MySQL Database Administration.
• Hands-on expertise with GCP Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and cloud database operations.
• Experience with Terraform, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of database migration, replication, backup/recovery, and HA/DR solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL, Linux, and Shell scripting.
• Good understanding of database security, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Exposure to PostgreSQL, Cloud Spanner, ETL tools, and GitHub Copilot.

Job Description:

• Administer and support MySQL databases across production and non-production environments.
• Manage GCP Cloud SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL), including provisioning, scaling, high availability, replication, backup, and recovery
• Lead database migration initiatives from on-premises to cloud platforms using GCP migration services
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform for automated database provisioning and management
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and capacity planning
• Support analytics and reporting workloads using BigQuery and related GCP services
• Implement high availability, disaster recovery, monitoring, and security best practices
• Collaborate with DevOps, application, and platform teams to deliver reliable database services
