Job summary

Evergent is seeking a professional Database Administrator to keep our databases running smoothly around the clock. You will manage MSSQL, MySQL and Oracle environments, implement backup and recovery policies, and optimize performance for seamless backend data flow and frontend accessibility.

The role includes database design, security enforcement, documentation, and collaboration with development teams to troubleshoot and improve data services. BE/B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Database Administrator.
• Hands-on with database standards and end-user applications.
• Excellent knowledge of backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL.
• Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding.
• Experience with DBA tools and third-party tools.
• Strong problem solving and algorithmic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and upgrade MSSQL/MySQL/Oracle server software.
• Evaluate features and related products for MSSQL/MySQL/Oracle.
• Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies.
• Design and implement database structures.
• Implement and maintain database security and user roles.
• Monitor performance and tune databases and applications.
• Document standards and processes; capacity planning.
• Provide 7×24 support when required and assist development teams.

Job description

A professional database administrator (DBA) will keep the database up and running smoothly 24/7. The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Installation, configuration and upgrading of Microsoft SQL Server/MySQL/Oracle server software and related products
• Evaluate MSSQL/MySQL/Oracle features and MSSQL/MySQL/Oracle related products.
• Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.
• Take care of the Database design and implementation.
• Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).
• Database tuning and performance monitoring.
• Application tuning and performance monitoring.
• Setup and maintain documentation and standards.
• Plan growth and changes (capacity planning).
• Work as part of a team and provide 7×24 supports when required.
• Do general technical trouble shooting and give consultation to development teams.
• Interface with MSSQL/MySQL/Oracle for technical support.
• ITIL Skill set requirement (Problem Management/Incident Management/Chain Management etc.)
