Job summary

Epergne Solutions is seeking a Database Administrator in India to support enterprise database systems, focusing on implementation, administration, maintenance, and performance. The role requires 3–5 years of related experience and strong SQL Server expertise.

You will monitor performance, manage backup and recovery, and ensure high availability in cluster/failover environments while maintaining security and operational documentation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in database administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with MySQL and/or Oracle is advantageous.
• Knowledge of database backup and recovery, including NetBackup.
• Knowledge of high-availability and cluster/failover technologies (e.g., Microsoft Cluster, SQL Server Always On).
• Experience with database security tools such as Imperva Database Firewall is advantageous.

Skills & Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (essential).
• Experience with MySQL and/or Oracle will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of database installation, upgrades, maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with database backup and recovery, including tools such as Symantec NetBackup.
• Knowledge of high-availability and cluster/failover technologies, such as Microsoft Cluster and SQL Server Always On.
• Experience with database security tools such as Imperva Database Firewall will be advantageous.
