Job summary

Innomotics seeks a MVD Engineer (f/m/d) to join our team in Mumbai, India. You will design and validate medium voltage drives, develop power schemes, perform simulations, prepare BOMs, and support PLM processes from concept to FAT.

The role requires at least 3 years of relevant experience, knowledge of EPLAN, SAP, Teamcenter and AutoCAD, and familiarity with IEC, EN, and IS standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, cost-effective drive solutions that meet

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in MV drives or similar.
• Experience in design, validation and testing of electrical drives.
• Familiarity with IEC/EN/IS standards and PLM processes.

Responsibilities

• Design Power schemes and system-level simulations; validate concepts.
• Drive programming, schematics, BOMs, FAT.
• Follow PLM processes, perform FMEA, ensure standards compliance.
• Generate component specifications and testing strategies.
• Plan and execute projects; manage design calculations for components.
• Lead PLM projects for new developments and cost-focused improvements.
• Develop low-cost components and assist in product costing.
• Contribute to concept development and test plans.
• Apply problem-solving tools like A3 and 8D.
• Conceptualize, design and validate MV drives per customer specs.
• Design electrical/electronics systems for industry applications.
• Establish test specs and align with technical requirements.

Your Future Role

Engineering & Product Development of Medium Voltage Drives

Required min 3 years relevant experience

Design Power schemes, application-based engineering, system stimulations by programming & validation.

Drive Programming , schematics, Bill of Materials, FAT

PLM process, FMEA, Various IEC, EN and IS standards.

Generating component specifications, Test strategies

Project planning and execution

Design calculation for selection of electric components.

PLM Project management for new developments

Design low-cost components and Product costing.

Design and test concept development.

Decision making

Knowledge of problem-solving tools and techniques like A3, 8D etc.

Your profile:

Software Skills: EPLAN, SAP, Teamcenter, Autocad

Knowledge in Power Electronics, Electrical switchgear, Standards & Technologies:

Conceptualize, design, develop, validate and smooth introduction of Medium voltage drives as per customer specification.

Knowledge in designing electrical / electronics systems and components for industry applications.

Establish test specifications of electrical/ electronics, Technical requirements, requirement specifications, specific standards.
