Job summary

Openhouse is seeking music teachers to lead group classes for children ages 5-12 at learning centres and apartment communities in Bangalore. You will guide sessions, plan activities, and help children explore music in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities include tracking progress, communicating with parents, participating in feedback sessions and events, and assisting with admissions and recitals. This role operates across Bangalore and involves working with a team of educators.

Job description

Openhouse is hiring music teachers to lead group music classes for children aged 5-12 at our learning centres and apartment communities in Bangalore.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead group music sessions covering singing, rhythm, basic music theory, and instruments (keyboard, ukulele/guitar, drums) using the Openhouse music curriculum.
• Plan each session's songs, warm-ups, and instrument practice.
• Keep a record of each child's musical progress and share updates with parents.
• Meet parents at feedback sessions, workshops and events.
• Help the centre team with trial classes and admissions.
• Rehearse and prepare children for recitals and showcases, and attend training and team meetings.

Time Commitment

Any 5 days of the week (20 hours per week, 4 hours a day):

• Weekday timings: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM
• Weekend timings: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Location

• Classes are held across Bangalore at learning centres or apartment complexes.
• Your location is assigned according to your preference.
