Job summary

Merkle India in Pune (Kharadi EON Free Zone) seeks a Senior Cloud Architect with 10+ years of cloud architecture experience. You will design data platforms, modelling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and governance, and create architecture diagrams and cost models while mentoring junior architects.

Must be hands-on with Python for data engineering, automation, and prototyping; Databricks experience is a plus. Collaboration with clients and global teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure and/or GCP data services.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and analytics platforms.
• Expertise in data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Ability to prepare solution proposals, architecture diagrams, and cost models.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client engagement skills.
• Should be hands-on in development, with the ability to design and implement solutions directly.
• Experience in Python for data engineering, automation, and solution prototyping.
• Mentor junior architects to develop technical capabilities and strengthen the overall architecture practice.
• SAAS based tools experience (Databricks etc)
• MDM experience (Informatica, Reltio, Profisee etc)
• Agentic AI skills

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud architecture discussions and design enterprise data solutions.
• Develop architecture diagrams, cost models, and deployment plans.
• Mentor junior architects and strengthen the architecture practice.
• Engage with clients and participate in pre-sales activities when needed.
• Hands-on development and prototyping of data engineering solutions.

• Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and analytics platforms.
• Expertise in data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Ability to prepare solution proposals, architecture diagrams, and cost models.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client engagement skills.

Education Qualification-

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.

Certification :

• If Any 2 of the below
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Azure Data Engineer / Azure Solutions Architect
• GCP Professional Data Engineer
• Other relevant cloud or data architecture certifications are a plus.

Shift timing 12 PM to 9 PM IST
