Job summary

Merkle, through its DGS India unit in Pune, is recruiting a Senior Cloud Architect to lead modern cloud data architectures for enterprise clients. You will design scalable data platforms, establish governance, and build cost-aware solutions.

Expect hands-on development with AWS/Azure/GCP, data modelling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytics workloads. You will mentor junior architects, work with SAAS tools like Databricks, and communicate proposals to clients.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cloud architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure and/or GCP data services (BigQuery, Synapse, Redshift, Databricks, etc.). Any two cloud experience
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and analytics platforms.
• Expertise in data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Ability to prepare solution proposals, architecture diagrams, and cost models.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client engagement skills.
• Should be hands-on in development, with the ability to design and implement solutions directly.
• Experience in Python for data engineering, automation, and solution prototyping.
• Mentor junior architects to develop technical capabilities and strengthen the overall architecture practice.
• SAAS based tools experience (Databricks etc)
• MDM experience ( Informatica, Reltio, Profisee etc)
• Agentic AI skills

Education Qualification-

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field.

Certification

If Any 2 of the below

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Azure Data Engineer / Azure Solutions Architect
• GCP Professional Data Engineer
• Other relevant cloud or data architecture certifications are a plus.
