Chimera Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Bengaluru seeks a senior Data Architect to design enterprise-scale data architectures across AWS, Azure, and Databricks, while defining governance and standards.

You will lead data integration, data quality, and security practices, enabling analytics, AI/ML, and real-time workloads in a hybrid work environment. The role emphasizes collaboration with business and technology teams, mentoring engineers, and delivering scalable data solutions across cloud platforms

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Enterprise Data Management.
• 5+ years designing cloud-native solutions on AWS and Azure.
• Strong experience with Databricks Lakehouse architecture and modern data platforms.
• Experience defining enterprise data strategy, governance, and architecture frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills.
• Experience in regulated industries such as Healthcare, Life Sciences, Financial Services, or Manufacturing is preferred.

Roles and Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Strategy

• Design and implement enterprise-scale data architectures across AWS, Azure, and Databricks platforms.
  
• Define and establish data architecture standards, governance frameworks, and best practices.
  
• Develop scalable, secure, and resilient data solutions supporting analytics, AI/ML, and operational workloads.
  
• Create and maintain enterprise data models, conceptual, logical, and physical data architectures.
  
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  
• Architect and optimize data platforms using AWS, Azure, Databricks, SQL and NoSQL technologies.
  
• Design cloud-native data lakes, lake house, data warehouses, and real-time data processing solutions.
  
• Evaluate and recommend cloud services, tools, and technologies based on business and technical requirements.
  
• Establish cross-cloud integration patterns and interoperability standards.
  

Data Integration & System Integration

• Design and implement enterprise integration architectures using APIs, event-driven patterns, messaging services, and ETL/ELT frameworks.
  
• Define integration strategies between enterprise applications, cloud platforms, databases, and third-party systems.
  
• Lead API design standards, integration governance, and service-oriented architecture initiatives.
  
• Ensure secure and reliable data exchange across systems and platforms.
  
• Define enterprise data governance frameworks and implementation roadmaps.
  
• Lead metadata management, data cataloging, data lineage, and data stewardship initiatives.
  
• Establish data quality standards, policies, controls, and monitoring mechanisms.
  
• Partner with governance teams to ensure regulatory compliance and data security requirements.
  

AI & Agentic AI Enablement

• Architect data foundations required for AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI platforms.
  
• Design data pipelines, vector stores, knowledge repositories, and retrieval architectures supporting AI solutions.
  
• Collaborate with AI teams to build scalable and governed AI ecosystems.
  
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities for enterprise adoption.
  

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across multiple programs and teams.
  
• Mentor data engineers, solution architects, and developers on architecture best practices.
  
• Participate in architecture review boards, design governance, and technology strategy discussions.
  
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to business and executive stakeholders.
  

Requirements

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or Enterprise Data Management.
  
• 5+ years of experience designing cloud-native solutions on AWS and Azure.
  
• Strong experience with Databricks Lakehouse architecture and modern data platforms.
  
• Experience defining enterprise data strategy, governance, and architecture frameworks.
  
• Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills.
  
• Experience working in regulated industries such as Healthcare, Life Sciences, Financial Services, or Manufacturing is preferred.
