Job summary

CivilArch Group in Lucknow is seeking a skilled Panel Saw Operator to cut wood panels, plywood, MDF, laminates and other sheet materials to production drawings.

You will read cutting layouts, set up machines, adjust blades and fences, measure precisely, and ensure quality while minimizing waste. Experience with panel cutting and familiarity with software for cutting layouts is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in operating multi-boring/line boring machines in furniture or panel production.
• Ability to read drilling patterns, hole positions, and production drawings.
• Strong measurement skills using measuring tools (tape, steel scale, gauges).
• Experience in modular furniture or panel-based furniture production is a plus.
• Familiarity with panel processing stages (cutting, edge banding, drilling, assembly).

Responsibilities

• Operate panel saw machines to cut plywood, MDF, particle board, laminates, and other sheet materials per production drawings.
• Set up the panel saw by adjusting blade height, cutting depth, fence, and settings for accurate cutting.
• Read cutting lists and production drawings to ensure correct dimensions.
• Measure panels to ensure precision and minimal waste.
• Use cutting optimization software to plan layouts and reduce scrap.
• Load and unload panels safely to avoid damage.
• Inspect cut panels for size and edges to ensure quality.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of the panel saw.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Coordinate with carpenters and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain production records and log material usage.
• Suggest improvements to cutting processes and workflow.
