Job summary

Cloudxtreme is looking for a seasoned OpenShift and Mulesoft Platform Admin to support cloud environments on AWS and Azure. You will manage Flex Gateway, patching, TLS certificates, backups, DR, and platform health, while driving automation with Kino, Terraform, Tekton, and ArgoCD.

You will document processes for a smooth knowledge transfer and work with the EIP OpenShift team to implement best CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of experience in relevant roles (4+ years for the role).
• Assist in OpenShift/OpenShift hosting setup on AWS and Azure.
• Familiar with managing APIM (TLS context) certificates and platform backups.

Responsibilities

• Set up OpenShift on AWS/Azure and prepare platform CI/CD workflow.
• Configure Flex Gateway via CI/CD pipeline and optimize network configurations.
• Manage AXA-style platform tasks including backups, DR, and capacity monitoring.
• Oversee CI/CD delivery using Kino, Terraform, Tekton and ArgoCD to streamline deployments.
• Document recurring tasks for knowledge transfer and support handover.
• Collaborate with EIP/OpenShift support teams to share best practices and automation.

Job description

Primary Skill Mulesoft Platform Admin / With operations knowledge / Cloud foundation experience

Exp: 5 to 8 years (Relevant 4+ years)

Platform Setup:

Assist in the setup of the OpenShift environment on AWS and Azure, including:

OpenShift Hosting Setup:

Configure Flex Gateway via platform CI/CD setup.

Implement network configurations for optimal performance.

Setup Options in AXA:

• Azure OpenShift
• AWS OpenShift
• SaaS solutions
• POD (VMware's Cloud solution, expected to be available later in 2026)
• Azure MPI (Managed Public IaaS)

APIM Support Tasks:

Manage the lifecycle of the Flex Gateway, including:

• Patching and upgrades to maintain system integrity.
• Oversee the management of APIM certificates (TLS Context), ensuring timely renewal of approximately 200 certificates associated with various DNS and entry points (ingress flow).
• Conduct regular backup and restore operations to safeguard data integrity.
• Monitor and manage platform capacity to ensure optimal performance.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) activities to maintain business continuity.
• Execute health checks and manage firewall change requests to ensure security and uptime.
• Troubleshoot platform issues and implement resolutions effectively.
• Handle incident management, ensuring swift response and resolution of platform-related incidents.

CI/CD Management:

Utilize AXA’s in-house CI/CD tool, Kino, based on Terraform, Tekton, and ArgoCD, to streamline deployment processes and enhance automation.

Documentation and Support:

Document all recurring tasks and processes for knowledge transfer to the support team.

Collaborate with the support team to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities once documentation is complete.

Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:

Work closely with the EIP team that supports OpenShift to exchange knowledge and best practices.

Focus on continuous improvement, with an emphasis on CI/CD practices and Terraform scripting.
