Job summary

BCforward is seeking an Azure Cloud Administrator to own and optimize the organization's Azure environment in Hyderabad. You will ensure availability, security and performance while enabling cost-efficient operations.

You will deploy and manage VMs, networks, and storage, administer Azure AD, RBAC, MFA, and monitor resources. The role also covers backup, DR planning, automation, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience managing Azure environments.
• Certifications: Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate or other Azure certifications preferred.
• Proficiency with Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS offerings and deploying VMs, storage, Azure AD, VPNs, load balancers, and virtual networks.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Python for automation; experience with ARM templates.
• Strong understanding of IP addressing, DNS, routing, NSGs, ExpressRoute; RBAC and MFA implementation.
• Experience with Azure Monitor, log analysis, alerting, backup and Site Recovery; disaster recovery planning.
• Ability to optimize resources for cost and performance; leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provision and manage Azure VMs, virtual networks, subnets, and routing policies.
• Deploy and manage load balancers, application gateways, and storage accounts for scalable solutions.
• Administer Azure Active Directory, implement RBAC, configure MFA and conditional access.
• Set up Azure Monitor, create alerts, and analyze diagnostic logs for proactive issue resolution.
• Implement Azure Backup and test disaster recovery plans with Site Recovery.
• Develop automation scripts to provision, monitor, and optimize resources.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, processes, and recovery plans; generate performance/security reports.
• Lead and mentor junior team members; drive continuous improvement and adoption of Azure technologies.

• Azure Services: Advanced knowledge of Azures IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings. Proficient in deploying and managing Azure virtual machines, storage accounts, Azure AD, and network components such as VPNs, load balancers, and virtual networks.

Job Description:

As an Azure Cloud Administrator at BCforward, you will be pivotal in ensuring the availability, security, and performance of our Azure environment. You will take ownership of the organizations cloud infrastructure, leveraging your expertise to optimize and enhance operations while adhering to best practices and cost-efficiency strategies. Your responsibilities will include:

• Infrastructure Management: Provision and manage Azure virtual machines, ensuring optimal resource allocation and performance. Configure virtual networks, subnets, and routing policies to maintain secure and efficient connectivity. Deploy and manage load balancers, application gateways, and storage accounts to support scalable solutions.
• Identity & Access Management: Administer Azure Active Directory, including user accounts, groups, and hybrid identity configurations. Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) to enforce least-privilege access. Configure Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and conditional access policies for enhanced security.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Set up Azure Monitor to track resource health and performance. Create and manage alerts to detect and resolve critical issues proactively. Analyze diagnostic logs to troubleshoot and resolve system and application problems.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Implement Azure Backup to protect critical data and systems. Develop and test disaster recovery plans using Azure Site Recovery. Conduct regular backup integrity checks and recovery drills.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce security best practices and manage Azure security controls, including firewalls and encryption. Conduct regular security assessments and apply necessary updates to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Automation & Optimization: Develop and maintain scripts to automate provisioning, monitoring, and other routine tasks. Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency and performance.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and recovery plans. Generate reports on system performance, security status, and optimization efforts.
• Team Leadership and Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to align Azure solutions with business goals. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and adopt emerging Azure technologies.
