Job summary

Uno Minda Group is seeking an experienced Tool Design & Development Manager in Pune to lead advanced tooling projects for plastic injection moulds and sheet metal progressive tools. You will oversee design, validation, and manufacturing support, coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

The role requires hands-on CREO/Pro-E expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple tooling programs while driving process improvements and cost

Qualifications

• Engineering/ Diploma in Tool Engineering from CIPET, NTTF, TRTC, ISTC or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in tool design and development.
• Hands-on experience with CREO 7.0, Pro-E, Delcam, SAP, and MS Office.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in injection moulding and sheet metal tooling design and development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop plastic injection moulds and sheet metal progressive tools.
• Prepare concept designs and support APQP, DFM, and engineering change implementations.
• Review tool designs and drive tooling modifications, corrections, and approvals.
• Coordinate tool raw material planning and vendor development activities.
• Prepare OPLs, Poka-Yoke, and other process documentation.
• Support new product development and manufacturing process improvements.
• Lead a team and manage multiple tooling projects independently.
• Handle commercial negotiations and finalization with tool room vendors.

Job Opening: Tool Design & Development Manager

We are looking for an experienced Tool Design & Development Manager with strong expertise in Plastic Injection Moulds and Sheet Metal Progressive Tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop plastic injection moulds and sheet metal progressive tools using CREO/Pro-E.
• Prepare concept designs and support APQP, DFM, and engineering change implementation.
• Review tool designs and drive tooling modifications, corrections, and approvals.
• Coordinate tool raw material planning and vendor development activities.
• Prepare OPLs, Poka-Yoke, and other process documentation.

Required Skills

• Experience in tool design, validation, and manufacturing support.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
