Job summary

Ultimate Alloys Pvt. Ltd. in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, is seeking a hands-on Moulding Supervisor to lead day-to-day moulding operations in the foundry. You will manage manpower, ensure process adherence, and coordinate with Core Shop, Pattern Shop, Melting, Quality, Fettling and Planning teams.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in steel casting foundries, with No‑Bake moulding experience and exposure to pump, valve or engineering castings. Strong focus on defect prevention and shop-floor control.

Qualifications

• ITI or diploma in foundry technology or mechanical engineering.
• Hands-on supervision experience in moulding operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day moulding and mould assembly activities.
• Plan manpower and achieve daily moulding production targets.
• Ensure mould preparation as per approved process sheets and methoding.
• Verify placement of cores, chills, chaplets, risers, sleeves, gating and filters.
• Control No-Bake moulding parameters (sand, resin, catalyst, curing, coating).
• Maintain mould cleanliness, dimensional accuracy and proper mould closing before pouring.
• Identify and prevent defects (sand inclusion, core shift, mismatch, gas defects, mould erosion, dimensional deviations).
• Coordinate with Core Shop, Pattern Shop, Melting, Quality, Fettling and Production Planning.
• Maintain process documentation, traceability, safety and 5S requirements.
• Lead and train moulding operators and helpers.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day moulding and mould assembly activities.
• Plan manpower and achieve daily moulding production targets.
• Ensure mould preparation as per approved process sheets and methoding.
• Verify proper placement of cores, chills, chaplets, risers, sleeves, gating systems and filters.
• Control No-Bake moulding parameters including sand, resin, catalyst, curing and coating.
• Ensure mould cleanliness, dimensional accuracy and proper mould closing before pouring.
• Identify and prevent moulding-related defects such as sand inclusion, core shift, mismatch, gas defects, mould erosion and dimensional deviations.
• Coordinate with Core Shop, Pattern Shop, Melting, Quality, Fettling and Production Planning teams.
• Maintain process documentation, traceability, safety and 5S requirements.
• Lead and train moulding operators and helpers.

Candidate Profile

Qualification: ITI / Diploma / Foundry Technology / Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 5–10 years in a Steel Casting Foundry

Experience in No-Bake moulding and medium/heavy steel castings is preferred.

Experience in complex pump, valve or engineering castings will be an added advantage.

We are looking for a hands‑on supervisor with strong knowledge of moulding processes, defect prevention, manpower management and shop‑floor production control.
