• Strong understanding of plastic injection moulding and Moldflow.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to transition to customer-facing specialist role.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical support and application assistance to customers using Autodesk Moldflow.
• Understand customer requirements and troubleshoot technical queries related to Moldflow.

About the Role

Neilsoft is looking for a technically skilled Moldflow Application Engineer / Specialist with hands-on experience in Autodesk Moldflow and plastic injection moulding simulation.

As an authorized Autodesk reseller, Neilsoft works closely with customers across various engineering and manufacturing industries, helping them leverage Autodesk solutions effectively.

In this role, you will act as a Moldflow Subject Matter Expert, working directly with customers to understand their technical requirements, resolve application-related challenges, provide technical guidance and help them maximize the value of Autodesk Moldflow.

This is a customer-facing technical role that offers an opportunity to combine your engineering expertise with technical consulting, problem-solving and customer interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and application assistance to customers using Autodesk Moldflow.
• Understand customer requirements and troubleshoot technical queries related to Moldflow applications.
• Guide customers in effectively using Autodesk Moldflow for plastic injection moulding simulation.
• Assist customers in understanding and interpreting Fill, Pack, Cool and Warp simulation results.
• Provide technical guidance on pre-processing, meshing, material selection and simulation setup.
• Help customers understand and resolve simulation-related challenges such as short shots, weld lines, air traps, sink marks and warpage.
• Guide customers on gate location, runner system and cooling channel optimization.
• Conduct technical discussions and provide application guidance based on customer requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams to address complex technical issues and ensure effective customer support.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports and presentations wherever required.

Required Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with Autodesk Moldflow and plastic injection moulding simulation.
• Good understanding of Fill, Pack, Cool and Warp analysis.
• Knowledge of pre-processing, 2D meshing and mesh matching.
• Understanding of injection moulding processes, plastic materials and mould design fundamentals.
• Exposure to gate location, runner design and cooling channel optimisation.
• Ability to interpret simulation results and identify potential moulding defects.

Preferred Software Knowledge

• Autodesk Moldflow Mandatory
• HyperMesh - Pre-processing and meshing
• SimLab - Meshing and pre-processing
• ANSYS Workbench - Additional advantage
• CATIA V5 / SolidWorks - Additional advantage

Desired Candidate Profile

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 1-4 years of relevant experience in Moldflow simulation or application support.
• Strong technical understanding of plastic injection moulding and Moldflow applications.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact with customers, understand technical challenges and explain solutions effectively.
• A customer-oriented approach with good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to transition from a backend simulation-oriented role into a customer-facing technical specialist position.
