Job description

Required Experience:Diploma: 4 – 17 Years

B.Tech: 2 – 7 Years

Job Responsibilities

DFM activity

• Perform DFM (pre-drawing product design feasibility) activity to identify mold design related issues at product design stage and can prepare report (with countermeasure) for feedback/modification to customer

Mold design

• Mold design for big parts like Bumper & Instrument panels as per guidelines & Mold planning sheet
• Knowledge of hot runner system in Mold, designing of rough design for outsourcing requirement reference
• Able to review Part/product design and injection mold design for issues and take countermeasures in new mold development.
• Able to make/review 2D drawings & electrode designs for mold manufacturing.
• Capable to prepare documents for mold manufacturing team reference

CAE (Mold flow simulation)

• Capability to do mold flow analysis and cooling analysis for big plastic car parts like Bumpers & Instrument panels
• Capability of providing countermeasures for mold flow analysis issues (like hot zone/insufficient cooling)
• Managing closure of all feedback with internal customers

Project Planning

• Coordination with Customer for project planning/scheduling, ECN implementation & costing, etc.

Know-how of Mold manufacturing and trial

• Mold assembly & Spotting
• Inspection of mold at various stages of manufacturing
• Mold trial issues, defects, and its countermeasures
• Know-how of optimum process parameter setting & cycle time reduction techniques

Technical / Functional

• Independently handling mold design of big plastic parts like car bumper / Instrument panel in UG-NX software
• Perform mold’s cooling analysis (simulation) in AutoDesk Moldflow softaware
• Experience of DFM activity
• Know-how of plastic part quality issues/defects and injection mold process from machining, assembly & trials issues and to take countermeasures in design

Must Have Skills

• Mold design for big parts like Bumper & Instrument panels (hot runner type molds) in UG-NX software
• Knowhow of DFM activity for plastic part
• Cooling analysis of designed mold in AutoDesk Moldflow software
• Know-how of Mold manufacturing process (Machining, EDM, assembly, trial) and Plastic part issues & countermeasures
• Knowledge of mold trial and can provide countermeasure for part quality related issues

Preferred Organization

• 4-wheeler OEMs with Press Die Design experience: TATA, M&M, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, KIA, VW, Renault, Nissan, MG, Eicher, Force Motors, Bajaj etc.
