Job summary

Happiest Minds Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to embedded/automotive Linux projects in Coimbatore. The candidate will apply strong C and kernel debugging skills, work on SoC BSPs, and drive hardware/software integration across peripherals.

The role requires 6-8 years of experience in Embedded/Automotive Linux, with hands-on Linux kernel, device driver, and bootload activities, plus Yocto/BitBake expertise and ARM/ARM64 familiarity.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in Embedded/Automotive Linux development.
• Strong hands-on experience in Linux Kernel & Device Driver development.
• Strong C programming and Linux kernel debugging skills.
• Experience in SoC/BSP development and board bring-up.
• Good knowledge of Device Tree, Kernel configuration & build.
• Hands-on experience with ARM/ARM64 architecture.
• Experience with Yocto/BitBake and cross-compilation.
• Good understanding of I2C, SPI, UART, GPIO, PCIe, USB, Ethernet, UFS/eMMC and other SoC peripherals.
• Experience in hardware & software integration and low-level debugging.
• Strong experience in Git, Linux debugging tools and scripting.
• Ability to independently own SoC/Linux topics and drive issues to closure.
• Automotive domain experience in IVI, Cluster, Cockpit, ADAS or similar systems.
