Job summary

Happiest Minds Technologies is seeking an experienced Embedded Linux Developer to design, develop, and maintain embedded Linux applications in C++ on custom hardware platforms. You will build Yocto-based distributions, integrate industrial protocols, and enable cloud connectivity using MQTT for IoT projects.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in embedded Linux with Yocto, strong C++, and exposure to Ethernet/Modbus/BACnet REST APIs.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Embedded Linux and Yocto on hardware platforms.
• Proficiency with C++ and embedded Linux development.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols (Ethernet, Modbus, BACnet) and REST APIs.
• Cloud connectivity and IoT concepts (MQTT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Embedded Linux applications using C++ on custom hardware platforms.

Looking for an Embedded Linux Developer with the below responsibilities,

• Design, develop, and maintain Embedded Linux applications using C++ on custom hardware platforms
• Build and customize Linux distributions using Yocto for embedded devices
• Integrate and debug industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, BACnet, REST APIs
• Implement cloud and IoT connectivity using MQTT and related frameworks
• Perform system bring-up, driver interaction, debugging, and performance optimization on embedded hardware
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable embedded solutions

Must Have:

• Overall 6+ years of experience in Embedded Linux, Yocto, C++. Working project experience on embedded Linux hardwares.
• Understanding of any Industrial protocols like Ethernet, Modbus, BACnet, REST API, Cloud connectivity(IoT, MQTT)

Nice to Have:

• Good Experience in Microservice development(EdgeX)
