Job summary

Happiest Minds Technologies in Bengaluru seeks an experienced embedded software engineer with expertise in C++ and Python, hardware cryptography accelerators, and secure boot/storage.

You will work with J-Link/Lauterbach, TinyUSB stacks, and GCC/ARM-CLANG compilers to port and benchmark MCU software for next-generation VFD applications.

The role involves protocol debugging with logic analyzers, Ethernet driver work, and delivering design documents and test reports.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C++ and Python programming.
• Experience with J-Link or Lauterbach trace tools on Cortex-R/M architectures.
• Hands-on USB implementation with TinyUSB or similar stacks.
• Experience debugging with logic analyzers.
• Experience configuring Ethernet drivers and debugging industrial protocols.
• Proficient with GCC/ARM-CLANG/IAR compilers; familiarity with SCONS build system.
• Experience with hardware cryptography accelerators and secure boot/storage.

Responsibilities

• Port legacy VFD software to current MCU generations and perform performance benchmarking.
• Evaluate MCUs from NXP, TI, ST, and Renesas for motor control applications.
• Prepare design documents and test reports.

Expertise in C++, Python programming languages.

Expertise in usage of Jlink or lauterbach trace tools with cortex R/M architectures.

Expertise in USB implementation with Tiny USB like USB stacks.

Usage of logic analyzers for protocol debugging.

Working experience in Ethernet driver configuration and preferably ability to debug industrial protocols

Working with GCC/armclang/iar compilers. Experience with working of SCONS build system. Working experience on hardware cryptography accelerators.

Woking experience on secure boot and secure storage including knowledge of encryption and decryption algorithms.

Evaluation of MCUs from different vendor's such as NXP, TI ,ST and and Renesas for Application and Motor Control MCU for Next Generation VFD production. Porting Legacy VFD SW in Current generation MCU's and doing performance benchmarking Desing document preparation Test reprot preparation
