• Modernization strategy: lead legacy assessment, application modernization, cloud migration roadmap, service decomposition, and transformation planning.
• Architecture Governance: Define target architectures, govern technology selection, ensure compliance with enterprise standards, and manage technical risks.
• AI & Agentic Architecture: Design and govern AI-powered solutions including multi-agent orchestration, RAG, API integrations, memory management, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Integration & Data Architecture: Lead API-led, event-driven, and hybrid integrations; drive database modernization, migration, and data governance strategies.
• Cloud, Security & Operations: Define cloud architecture across Azure/AWS/GCP, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, resilience, observability, disaster recovery, and security controls.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor engineering teams, lead architecture reviews, POCs, and innovation initiatives while ensuring quality, compliance, and AI-assisted engineering best practices.

The Role

Lead application assessments, architecture and modernization of enterprise applications, integrations, databases and cloud platforms. Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, resilient and cost-effective solutions. Own architecture through implementation and transition to operations, balancing enterprise strategy with practical delivery, maintainability and business continuity. Employees in this role define and use design documentation, functional programming specifications, and high level design documents to implement identified components. Ensure implemented components are documented appropriately, unit tested, and ready for integration into the final product. Present/demonstrate implemented product features through playback sessions as required. Provide fixes to defects identified during pre-production and post-production phases in the software development life cycle. Provide work estimates for assigned development work. Guide and explain features, functional objectives, or technologies that are being built to interested parties. Bring your specialist knowledge and experience to a company managing 50% of the world's MIPS and play a critical role in our modernization mission. In this role, you’ll design, build and maintain the high-volume business logic that runs on the mainframe.
