Job summary

Kiya.ai in Chennai seeks an experienced Mobile Automation Tester to build and maintain automation for mobile apps using Appium, Cucumber and Gherkin. You will collaborate with QA and development teams in an agile environment and contribute to the automation framework while being ready for manual testing when needed.

Strong Java and CI/CD experience is required, along with familiarity with web technologies and testing tools. Immediate to 15 days notice preferred, on-site Chennai location.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in mobile automation testing.
• Hands-on with Appium, Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Experience in CI/CD and enterprise automation frameworks.
• Ready for manual testing if needed and test-set maintenance.
• Familiar with web tech like CSS/HTML and Angular is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform test automation using Appium, API testing tools, Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Develop, execute and maintain automation scripts per the framework.
• Occasionally perform manual testing and maintain test sets.
• Experience in CI/CD is required and support automation engineering.
• Provide automation status and results to leaders and teammates.

Job description

Position : Mobile Automation Testing (Appium & Gherkin)

Experience : 7 to 10 Years

Notice period : Immediate to 15 Days (Not more than)

Location : Chennai

Type of Interview : F2F Interview (Final Discussion)

Direct Responsibilities:

• Perform test automation utilizing testing tools such APPIUM, APIs Testing Tools, Cucumber & Gherkin
• Develop, execute and maintain automation test scripts according to the enterprise Automation Framework standard
• Also ready to work on Manual test execution (if needed) by creating and maintaining test sets
• Experience in CI/CD is required
• Provide technical assistance to other Automation Engineers regarding the enterprise Automation Framework
• Determine automation feasibility for functional test sets/cases
• Provide test automation status and execution results to Test Lead/Test manager and other project team members.
• Work closely with QA team members, developers and other project team members in the process of automation (agile environment).

Contributing Responsibilities:

• Experience in using Java and Automation Scripting with Mobile automation testing (APPIUM, Cucumber & Gherkin)
• Java, CI/CD, GitLab, Nexus experience is a must
• Familiarity with CSS, HTML, Node.js and Angular is good to have.
• JIRA-XRay knowledge is added advantage
