Job summary

Sam Composites is seeking a skilled MIS & Data Analyst to manage daily to monthly MIS reporting, tracking sales, orders, production, inventory, dispatch and collections. You will consolidate data from across the plant and prepare dashboards to support management decisions.

You will also coordinate with Sales, Production, Stores and Logistics to ensure timely data updates, highlight variances, and leverage Excel and AI tools to automate repetitive reporting and generate actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly MIS reports for management.
• Maintain MIS related to sales, orders, production, inventory, dispatch and collections.
• Prepare order status and order ageing reports.
• Track order booking vs. production vs. dispatch.
• Prepare reports on pending orders, material readiness and dispatch status.
• Highlight delays, gaps, variances and critical pending actions to management.
• Collect and consolidate production data from the plant.
• Track production plans vs. actual production.
• Monitor production status against customer orders.
• Prepare reports on material availability, production pending and dispatch readiness.
• Coordinate with production/plant teams for timely and accurate data updates.
• Maintain operational trackers for WIP, finished goods and pending production.
• Maintain sales and order booking MIS.
• Track customer orders from order receipt to production and dispatch.
• Prepare sales performance reports by customer, product, salesperson and period.
• Monitor pending orders and provide regular updates to the Sales team.
• Support the Sales team with customer/order-related data and reports.
• Maintain reports for raw material, finished goods and inventory movement.
• Track dispatch schedules and actual dispatches.
• Prepare dispatch pending and delivery status reports.
• Coordinate with Stores, Production, Sales and Logistics teams for data collection.

Role & responsibilities

A. MIS & Management Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly MIS reports for management.

• Collect and consolidate production data from the plant.
• Track production plans vs. actual production.
• Monitor production status against customer orders.
• Prepare reports on material availability, production pending and dispatch readiness.
• Coordinate with production/plant teams for timely and accurate data updates.
• Maintain operational trackers for WIP, finished goods and pending production.

C. Sales & Order Tracking

• Maintain sales and order booking MIS.
• Track customer orders from order receipt to production and dispatch.
• Prepare sales performance reports by customer, product, salesperson and period.
• Monitor pending orders and provide regular updates to the Sales team.
• Support the Sales team with customer/order-related data and reports.

D. Inventory & Dispatch MIS

• Maintain reports for raw material, finished goods and inventory movement.
• Track dispatch schedules and actual dispatches.
• Prepare dispatch pending and delivery status reports.
• Coordinate with Stores, Production, Sales and Logistics teams for data collection.

E. Data Analysis, Excel & AI

• Consolidate data from multiple departments and ensure accuracy.
• Identify data discrepancies, delays and performance gaps.
• Prepare dashboards and analytical reports for management.
• Use Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, COUNTIF/COUNTIFS, filters and charts.
• Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot or similar tools to support data analysis, report preparation, formula creation, data interpretation and automation of repetitive MIS activities.
• Demonstrate the ability to use AI effectively and responsibly for improving MIS processes, identifying trends and generating management insights.
• Continuously explore AI-based tools and methods to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency and turnaround time.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of MIS data and reports.

F. ERP & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Update and extract relevant data from the company's ERP system.
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Dispatch, Accounts and HR for required information.
• Follow up with respective teams for pending or incomplete data.
• Support management with ad-hoc reports and analysis as required.
