Job summary

Valmet is seeking a proactive Mill Sales Manager to lead service sales across Western India, based in Mumbai. You will drive growth by promoting Valmet service products and coordinating with European hubs to support technical sales.

The role requires a BSc/BTech in Paper Science or related field and 3–5 years of experience in the paper industry or selling consulting-intensive products, with strong English communication and willingness to travel internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Paper Science, Engineering or related field.
• Strong English communication and MS Office skills.
• Experience in selling consulting-intensive products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell Valmet’s Service products.
• Provide technical sales support with coordination to European service hubs.
• Pursue leads and visit customers in Western India to meet targets.
• Negotiate prices and delivery times within authority limits.
• Conclude sales orders to achieve revenue targets.
• Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services.
• Identify and contact prospective customers to generate future sales.
• Refer feedback and competitor activity to internal teams.
• Promote positive attitude and motivation within the team.

Mill Sales Manager, PAC SER

Location: West Area (Mumbai), India

If yes, we are looking for “Mill Sales Manager” for Valmet business to be based in Mumbai, India. This position reports to “Head of Sales India, Region”.

What you will do at Valmet:

To further strengthen the Sales focus and facilitate the team on day to day basis with time bound support to ensure the growth journey of service business line across Indian region. Support and co-operate with sales colleagues within own and their sales projects; to achieve annual sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and sell the Valmet’s Service products
• Provide technical sales support (liaising with European Valmet service hubs)
• Pursue sales leads, visiting existing and new customers to meet sales target levels for customers located in Western India including neighboring markets
• Negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority
• Conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets
• Assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services
• Identify, research and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business
• Refer sales leads, customer feedback and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization
• Promote positive attitude and good motivation inside the team
• Adhering to company’s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) procedures
• Adhering to company’s Values, Business principles and Code of conduct

What we expect from you:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

A Degree (BSc, B.Tech) from college or university in Paper Science, Engineering or a related degree; Minimum of 5 years related experiencepreferably in thepaper industry; or Ideally 3 years’ experience in selling consulting-intensive products and solutions A proactive, positive and personable attitude / character Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Competence in the use of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) Experience of other business management tools A flexible approach to work, including the willingness and ability to travel inside and out of country
