Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Confluent Kafka: Build and manage high-performance Kafka systems; handle brokers, clusters, topics, producers, and consumers; monitor consumer lag with Prometheus and Grafana; ensure platform health.
• IBM WebSphere Administration: Administer, configure, and troubleshoot WebSphere Application Server and IBM HTTP Server; apply fix packs and Java SDK upgrades; assess architecture impact and support design.
• OpenShift (OCP) Administration: Manage OpenShift clusters via CLI and UI; deploy apps, pods, services; manage authentication/authorization; deploy from images and Kubernetes manifests; perform cluster updates with minimal disruption.

Role Summary:

We are looking for a Middleware Support Executive with hands-on expertise across Confluent Kafka, IBM WebSphere, and OpenShift (OCP) to manage and support enterprise middleware infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong Linux (RHEL) foundation and experience troubleshooting complex, production-grade middleware environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Confluent Kafka

• Build and manage high-performance Kafka systems ensuring uninterrupted data flow
• Work with Brokers, Clusters, and Topics
• Manage data partitioning and message key-based sorting
• Handle Producers, Consumers, and Consumer Groups
• Track consumer lag using Prometheus and Grafana
• Monitor overall Kafka platform health

IBM WebSphere Administration

• Administer, configure, and troubleshoot WebSphere Application Server / IBM HTTP Server
• Apply Fix Packs and upgrades for WebSphere and Java SDK
• Evaluate application architecture and support solution design
• Assess impact of development releases on production
• Monitor performance metrics for optimal application stability
• Support end-to-end integration of hardware/software components
• Basic understanding of Java application fundamentals

OpenShift (OCP) Administration

• Manage OpenShift clusters via CLI and web console
• Deploy applications, PODs, and services
• Manage authentication and authorization
• Deploy apps from container images, templates, and Kubernetes manifests
• Install/update Operators via OLM and Cluster Version Operator
• Perform cluster updates with minimal application disruption
