Job summary

Virtusa is seeking a Middleware Support Engineer to operate in a live production environment across multiple sites including Hyderabad, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Gurgaon. The role emphasizes BAU tasks, incident resolution and collaboration with project teams.

Candidates should have strong middleware background with hands-on IIB/ACE and WAS experience; knowledge of WebLogic, JBoss, and Urban Code Deploy is advantageous. This is not a development role.

Qualifications

• Strong middleware operational support experience in live production environments.
• Hands-on experience with IBM Integration Bus (IIB) and/or IBM ACE, and IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS).
• Experience delivering BAU activities such as certificate renewals, route-to-live changes, vulnerability patching, and production incident investigation/resolution.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Not a developer or architect role; must have a strong middleware support background; exposure to WebLogic, JBoss, and Urban Code Deploy is a plus.

Detailed JD for the Middleware Support Engineer

Strong Middleware operational support experience within a live production environment.

Hands-on experience supporting IBM Integration Bus (IIB) and/or IBM ACE, alongside IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS).

Experience delivering BAU activities such as:

• Certificate renewals
• Route to Live changes
• Vulnerability patching
• Investigation and resolution of production incidents

Ability to work effectively with project teams, technical teams, internal stakeholders and third parties.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Positive, service-oriented approach with a willingness to take direction and support a stable production environment.

Please note that this is not a Developer or Architect role. We are specifically looking for candidates with a strong support and operational background within Middleware technologies.

Experience with additional technologies such as WebLogic, JBoss and Urban Code Deploy (UCD) would be advantageous but is not essential.
