Job summary

Devolva Technologies is seeking a Software QA Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on testing experience to ensure high-quality software delivery. You will design and execute test scenarios, perform various testing types, validate REST APIs, and collaborate with BAs, developers, and product owners in an Agile/Scrum environment.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, solid knowledge of SQL and database testing, and familiarity with Jira or Azure DevOps for defect

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Solid experience in Manual Testing.
• Good experience with API Testing using Postman.
• Good knowledge of SQL and database testing.
• Hands-on experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain test cases and test plans.
• Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, Integration, System, and UAT Testing.
• Validate REST APIs using Postman or similar tools.
• Log, track, and verify defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Collaborate closely with BAs, Developers, UI/UX Designers, and Product Owners to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Execute database validation using SQL queries.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing for web applications.
• Ensure software releases meet quality standards before deployment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and documentation.
