Responsabilités

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Lead API design efforts including contracts, versioning, auth, error handling, observability, and performance.
• Build event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka with producers, consumers, topics, partitions, and consumer groups.
• Design and develop Elasticsearch-based indexing, querying, and data retrieval solutions.
• Integrate APIs with Kafka, Elasticsearch, databases, and other enterprise platforms.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, resiliency, and fault tolerance.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across APIs, distributed services, Kafka, and Elasticsearch.
• Develop automated tests and contribute to CI/CD practices.
• Participate in architecture reviews and propose improvements to existing systems.
• Code reviews and technical guidance to other developers.

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Developer with deep experience designing and building enterprise-grade APIs, event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka, and search/data solutions using Elasticsearch.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer who can take ownership of solution design through implementation, build highly scalable and resilient services, and work effectively within modern distributed and cloud-based architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Lead API design efforts, including API contracts, versioning, authentication/authorization, error handling, observability, and performance.
• Build event-driven and asynchronous solutions using Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, and event-processing patterns.
• Design and develop solutions leveraging Elasticsearch for high-volume indexing, querying, search, and data retrieval.
• Integrate APIs and services with Kafka, Elasticsearch, databases, and other enterprise platforms.
• Design solutions for high availability, scalability, resiliency, and fault tolerance.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues involving APIs, distributed services, Kafka messaging, and Elasticsearch.
• Develop automated unit, integration, and API tests and contribute to strong engineering and CI/CD practices.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews and recommend improvements to existing applications and integrations.
• Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to other developers.
• Partner with architects, product teams, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable technical solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Strong professional experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (10 years +) building enterprise-scale applications and distributed systems.
• Expert-level experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including:
  • Producers and consumers
  • Topics and partitions
  • Consumer groups
  • Event-driven architecture
  • Message serialization and schemas
  • Error handling, retries, and dead-letter/error-processing patterns
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting
• Strong hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, including:
  • Index design and mappings
  • Query development
  • Data ingestion and indexing
  • Search optimization
  • Performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Strong development experience with Java/Spring Boot or a comparable enterprise development stack.
• Experience building high-volume, highly available distributed applications.
• Strong understanding of API security and authentication patterns, including OAuth 2.0/JWT.
• Experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience working with containerized/cloud-native applications using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong debugging, performance analysis, and production support skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, or Confluent Platform.
• Experience with the broader Elastic Stack, including Kibana and Logstash.
• Experience developing solutions on Azure, AWS, or another major cloud platform.
• Experience with API management/gateway technologies.
• Understanding of OpenAPI/Swagger specifications and API-first development.
• Experience with observability platforms and distributed application monitoring.
• Experience operating APIs, Kafka workloads, and Elasticsearch at significant enterprise
